Raymond Holcomb, president and managing director at 1st Watch Global, was quoted in the February 13, 2020 NBC News article, “Two largest teachers unions call for schools to revise or end active shooter drills.”

“What might work for one school in an urban area might not work for another in a rural area,” said Raymond Holcomb, president and managing director of 1st Watch Global, an organization that helps businesses address potential threats. “Schools must develop customized plans which must first consider the stress that students and staff deal with in their daily lives, as well as the psychological and physiological effects of exposing them to violent scenarios in a location that for many, is their only safe harbor.”
